Mrs. Karen Elaine Finney, affectionately known as “Kay Kay, was born on September 4, 1986 in Fort Worth Texas. Karen was raised with love by her parents Patricia and Tony Fant and was sincerely loved by her biological father Wayne Kindles. As a child, Karen was very active in her church home of Gideon Baptist Church and was baptized as an adolescent. As an adult, Karen continued to faithfully participate as a member of her home church and continued develop as a Christian, truly accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. To have known Karen is to truly love her.
She and her husband Finney were soul mates who were together for over 17 years. Karen was a devoted mother who dearly loved her children more than anything that this world could offer. Karen and Ivan were looking forward to renewing their vows at the end of 2019. She truly adored all children and loved helping people. She played the role of caretaker, mother, confidant and was sister to many.
Karen was a young woman who had an old soul. She loved blues music and loved being with her family. Karen also loved puzzle books, collecting gel-pens, coloring with her children and going to the casino! She was very humble, soft spoken and funny. She also was not afraid to speak her mind or stand firmly for what she believed in. Most importantly, Karen loved her children so much and always made a way to give her children the best of the best.
She was preceded in death by her great grandmother; Blanch Williams, great grandfather; Luellis Williams, grandfather; Joe Bailey, grandmother;, Shirley Dennis, mother-in-law; Patricia Finney, grandfather; Caleb Turner and sister-in-law; Sharee Patin.
She now leaves to cherish precious and fond memories: a Loving Husband; Ivan A.C. Finney (35), four Beautiful Children: Daughters; Kalyss L. Finney (12) and Kaleah J. Finney (11), Sons; Ivan J. Finney Jr. (14) and Rylan K. Finney (7), Mother; Patricia Fant, Father and step-father; Tony Fant and Wayne Kindles, Grandmothers; Mary Williams and Leandra Patin, Grandfather; Sammy Kindles, Sisters; Harmonie “Christina” Soule, Sharon Kindles, Amanda Turner-McCarther and Taniesha Kindles, Brothers; Stanley Fant and Anthony Turner, Sister-In-Laws; Juanisha Patin, Cheyenne Patin and Mercedes Patin, Brother-In-Laws; Joseph Patin (JoJo), Jordan Finney and Markus Robinson; along with a plethora of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and friends.
The Homegoing service for Ms. Karen Elaine Finney, is 1:00 P.M., Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Gideon Baptist Church (4639 Miller Avenue - Forth Worth, TX 76119 with Pastor Sylvester Paris serving as the Eulogist. Karen will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be in the Sky Vue Memorial Park Cemetery - Mansfield , TX.
