Annie Lacy Obituary

It is with Bethesda’s deepest regret and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mrs. Annie Lou Lacy, age 85 of DeSoto, Texas.

Mrs. Lacy was born on April 1, 1936 in Palestine,  Texas to the parentage of Maxie Buster Martin and Queen Ester Lott Martin, of whom both preceded her in death. She completed her formal education at the A. M. Story High School in Palestine, TX where Annie graduated.

In 1955, Annie married the love of her life, William Franklin Lacy and they remained happily married until William’s death in 2017. 

Annie retired as a bus driver from Dallas County Schools.  She accepted Christ at an young age and remained faithful in her Christian belief.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters, three brothers, a daughter; Sylvia Ann Lacy- Johnson, and son; Kelvin Elton Lacy.  

She leaves to cherish fond memories a son; Franklin Bernard Lacy of Dallas, two daughters; Letha Ann Lacy-Adams of Desoto and Charntanice Lacy of Dallas, granddaughter; Crystal Wigfall (Christopher) of Lancaster, two sisters Dorothy Nell Manning of Fort Worth, and Maggie McDaniel (Harold) of Fort Worth, four grandchildren; LaShea Massengil, Eddie Lee Johnson, Egypt and Asia Adams,  six great-grandchildren, and a  host of nephews, nieces, cousins and Friends.  Annie will truly be missed by all who loved and knew her.  

Services for Mrs. Lacy is 11:00 AM, Friday, June 25, 2021 at Bethesda Memorial Funeral Directors, LLC (106 Terrace Drive - DeSoto, TX 75115),  Interment at the DFW National Cemetery - Dallas, Texas will follow services.
