Arthur Lee Boyd

It is with deepest regret and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Arthur Lee Boyd, age 87, a US Army Veteran, of DeSoto, TX.

Author Boyd was born in Marlon, Texas on September 13, 1933 to the parentage of Elijah and Sadalia Boyd.

Arthur, accepted Christ at an early age and later became a member of a church in Lubbock Texas,  where he resided.  He remained faithful until failing health prevented him from attending services.

Arthur  completed his education in the Lubbock   Public   Schools.  He then Enlisted into the United States Army and served several years of dedicated service.

He was preceded in death by his father; Elijah Boyd, mother; Sadalia Scott-Boyd, four brothers; Elijah Boyd, Jr., Melvin Boyd, Paul Boyd and Albert Charles Boyd;

two sisters; Ruby Joyce Boyd; Berta Mae Washington. He leaves to cherish precious memories, one Sister; Jeannette Boyd and a host Nieces, Nephews and other relatives and friends.

We therefore extend our sincerest condolences to the Boyd and Morgan family, may his soul rest peacefully with the Lord.  

Homegoing services are 11:00 AM, Friday, March 5, 2021 at Bethesda Memorial Funeral Directors, LLC  (106 Terrace Drive - DeSoto, TX 75115). For visitation purposes, Mr. Boyd will lie in quiet repose in our Chapel of Remembrance, two hours prior to the time of the funeral.
