Bradley Taylor Obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Bradley S. Taylor, age, 55 of Greenville, Texas. Services for Mr. Taylor are posted.

Bradley Scott Taylor, affectionately known as Brad, was the third child born to Ernest and Dorothy Taylor. He was born on March 26, 1969, in Greenville, TX. Brad grew up in the Greenville community of College Hill, where he and his childhood friends freely played all over the neighborhood.

He expressed his interest in Christ at an early age, was baptized, and became an active member of the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. Bradley participated in and was very active in the church’s youth programs.

Bradley received his formal education in the Greenville Public School District (G.I.S.D.) and graduated from Greenville High in 1987. While attending Greenville High, Brad was a very popular student and athlete among his peers and classmates, and he was voted class favorite several times. Brad was also very active and excelled in varsity sports, especially football. During his senior year, he was nominated captain of the varsity football team.

Upon graduating from Greenville High, Brad enrolled in Navarro Junior College, where he was accepted as a “Walk On” football player, and the team won their division’s championship. After Navarro, Brad attended East Texas State University, which is now Texas A&M University at Commerce, TX.

Brad was preceded in death by his parents, aunts, and uncles, all of whom played a vital role in his maturation, development, and upbringing. He was truly blessed to have a strong network of family who fully supported his many endeavors.

Bradley leaves to cherish precious and fond memories his children: Tristan Taylor of Chicago, Illinois; Y’Tesia Taylor Smith of Greenville, Texas; and Reno Thomas of Garland, Texas; three grandchildren: Alexander Allen, Aiden, and Amaya Smith; siblings: Wanda Taylor and Ernest Taylor, Jr., both of Lancaster, Texas; his fiancée, Shawnna Mayberry; and a plethora of other relatives and friends residing in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) and East Texas areas. Brad will certainly be missed by all of us.

Please keep the family lifted in prayer.
