Christopher Maurice Winton

On July 31, 2021 God called to rest Christopher Maurice Winton at his residence in Commerce, Texas. Chris was born on August 23, 1981 to the union of Michael Leroy Winton and Claudia Hill-Winton. Robert Record Sr. met Claudia in the fall of 1983. They were wed on March 16, 1987 whereby Chris gained another father.

Chris graduated from Commerce High School in 1999. He attained a Business of Administration and Master’s of Mechanical & Energy Engineering Technology Degrees and served as a graduate research assistant from the University of North Texas. He also received Pharmaceutical and EMS certifications. He was initiated into the Zeta Upsilon Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc. in the Fall of 2003.

Chris was a fun-loving, generous young man who would give you the shirt off his back. He was boisterous, strongly opinionated, and a natural-born debater. He was also a well- mannered, well groomed “GQ Smooth Operator!” To his siblings he was reliable, loyal, comical, and a dedicated protector. He was our rock.
