Divonde James Jackson, Sr.

It is with utmost sorrow and our deepest regret to announce the passing of Mr. Divonde James Jackson, Sr., Age 39 of Garland, TX. 

Mr. Divonde James Jackson, Sr., affectionally known by family and friends as simply "Red", was born on February 21, 1982, in Dallas, Texas to the proud parentage of Annette Louise Jackson and Dennis Choice. He spent the last moments of his precious life surrounded by the ones he laughed with and loved. Divonde Jackson was called home to be with the Lord on November 27, 2021. Divonde received and accepted Christ at an early age in Dallas, Texas, and in June of 2005 after rededicating his life to Christ he joined the Potter’s House and remained a faithful member till death. In May 2000 Divonde, graduated from Dallas Public Schools David W. Carter High School and afterwards, he attended Jackson State University (JSU) in Jackson, Mississippi.

In August of 2002 “Red” met the love of his life Eboney who would later become his beautiful wife.  He and Eboney united in holy matrimony on June 21, 2005. Divonde became the father of DJ Jackson Jr.

Red was the proud owner and operator of All About God, LLC. He loved relaxing and watching his favorite football team, none other of course than the Dallas Cowboys. He also loved to travel and fish for leisure. After the passing of his mom, Red became the caregiver for his sister Sharonna. Divonde Jackson was preceded in death by his mother; Annette Jackson, father; Dennis Choice, an aunt; Debra Jackson; an uncle; Wilbure Nolan, Sr., his grandmother; Velma Jackson, and grandfather; Ollie Jackson, Sr.

Leaving to cherish precious memories are his loving wife; Eboney Jackson, son;  Davonde J. Jackson, Jr., sister; Sharonna Jackson, sister-in-law; Kyla Kelly, brother-in-law; Caleb Kelly, nephew; Matthew Kelly, godson; Kealen Aubert, goddaughter Spirit Relaford; and a plethora of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Services for Divonde are 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at The Potter’s House (6777 W. Kiest Blvd. - Dallas, TX 75236). For pre-service visitation purposes, on Wednesday morning at 10:00 A.M., Mr. Jackson will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the Start of services.
