Sis. Erma Louise Burnett was born in Dallas, TX on March 12, 1945 to the parentage of Lena Jewel Murphy and Johnny Wesley Curry. She received her formal education in the Dallas Public Schools. Erma was baptized at the East Dallas Church of Christ at an early age. After marriage, she attended the Sunnyvale Church of Christ. She later moved her membership to the Church of Christ on Pemberton Hill Road, where she remained faithful until death.
Sis. Burnett was preceded in death by her mother and father; Lena Jewel Murphy and Johnny Wesley Curry, siblings; John Curry, Robert Murphy and Regina Lister. Erma now leaves to cherish precious and fond memories, two sons; Anthony Burnett (Ramona) of Denton, TX, Terome Burnett of Dallas, TX, daughter; Enola Mathis of Dallas, TX; an adopted son; Frederick Burnett (Shana)of Dallas, TX, eight grandchildren; Brandon, Tamika, Reno, Desmond, Jeremy, Quentin, Zandra and Lamona, three great grandchildren; Kayla, Morgan and Chloe’, She also leaves five brothers, five sisters and a plethora of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Erma will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Graveside service for Ms. Erma L. Burnett, is 11:00 A.M., Monday, January 25, 2021 at the Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery (8100 Fireside Drive - Dallas, TX 75217). Bro. Joseph E. Fountaine, Sr. Minister of the Pemberton Hill Church of Christ is the officiant.
