Gerald L. Askew

On the morning of February 9, 2017; in the city of Dallas, Mr. Gerald L. Askew slipped away to be with the Lord. Gerald was born on September 18, 1949 in Ahoskie, NC to the parentage of William Edward Askew and Dorothy Gatling-Askew.

He completed his formal education At Norview High school in Norfolk, VA. Gerald later attended Waylon Baptist College and graduated with bachelor's degree. He also attended Texas Tech University, graduating with a Master's in Psychology Degree and later matriculated at SMU where he earned a Master of Divinty Degree. Until his recent retirement, Gerald was employed for many years as a legal assistant at the Dallas US Department of Justice.

Gerald was preceded in death by both parents and four siblings. He leaves to cherish his loving memory a Son; Jonathan Askew and Daughter; Monique Askew both of Lancaster, TX. In addition to his two children; he leaves six of ten siblings and a host of other relatives and friends. Gerald will truly be missed by all who knew him. Please keep the Askew family in prayer.
