Gladys Richardson Obituary

On behalf of the Owner, Management and Staff of Bethesda Memorial Funeral Directors,  it is with deep regret and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Ms. Gladys Richardson, a resident of Dallas, TX.

Gladys Yvonne Richardson was born in Dallas, TX. on Feb 12, 1955, to the loving parentage of  Charlotte Margaret Smith and L.C. Richardson.

She is a proud L. G. Pinkston Alumni. Her love for children lead her to work for over 20 at the Greater Head Start. Being ambitious and having a passion for baking, she started a Catering business that she continued, until her home going.

Her zeal for the Lord and walk in righteousness began at True Deliverance Non-Denominational church, under Pastor Greg Preston. She accepted the call on her life as an Ordained Minister at Monument of Faith Breakthrough Ministries, under the tutelage of Chief Apostle Thomas Turner. Expounding on her ministry at Refuge Temple Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Alex Mouton and Body of Christ, under the leadership of Pastor John Bush.

Gladys studied and achieved her Associate Degree in Nursing at Cedar Valley College. Her drive for caring for those who could not aid for themselves brought her to a career of caring for the elderly and those in need of hospice care.

She was one of the hardest working Woman of God, the head of our family and our ROCK. The one to always be a phone call away and a shoulder to cry on. Ready to pray for you at the drop of a dime and put you in your place at the same time.

Gladys was the  life of the party, the Preacher, the teacher, the doctor, the student lawyer, the friend and so much more.  She had a heart so pure and genuine that you never questioned her intensions. Her smile, hugs and wisdom will be greatly missed.

Proceeding Gladys in death was, Charlotte Margaret Maloy-Smith (Mother), L. C. Richardson (Father), Barbara Jean Richardson (sister), Karen Brown (sister), Cleveland R. Smith (brother) and Charlotte (Pig) Richardson (sister).
