It is with our most deepest sorrow and profound regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Gloria Jean Carter, age 69 of Dallas, TX.
Gloria Jean Carter departed from life on Sunday September 12, 2021, at 69 years of age in Dallas, TX. Gloria was born August 20, 1952, in Mobile, AL to Willie Pearl Molette.
She was the oldest of three children. Gloria moved to Dallas where she attended L. G. Pinkston High school, and graduated in the class of 1970. She later went on to attend El Centro College and subsequently to Dallas Baptist University. Gloria’s love for God extended through her service at New Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Usher board as well as other services for her church community.
Later, she continued her service at Nazareth Baptist church where she served as a secretary and on the treasury and usher board.
Gloria’s first union was with Jerry Alexander in 1971, with whom she conceived four children: Jacqueline Yvonne Alexander, Jennifer Lovie Alexander, Jerry Alexander Jr., and Jametria Maresa Alexander. She later re-married LB Carter and remained faithfully married, until his death.
She was employed at the Dallas Office of the Texas Attorney General’s Office for over a decade. Afterwards, she obtained employment in insurance as a risk Insurance specialist. She held this position until retirement. Gloria LOVED reading all books but particularly her bible. I
Gloria was the BEST cook, could cook anything, and to perfection (threw down in the kitchen). Her hobbies included sewing, shopping for antiques, watching golf and westerns and had a love for politics. Most importantly, she had an eternal love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband; LB Carter, her mother; Willie Pearl Molette and her father.
She leaves to cherish precious memories, her children; Jacqueline Alexander, Jennifer Alexander, Jerry Alexander & Jametria Alexander (Mark Banks), grandchildren; Demarcus Targton, Jordan Alexander, Javonna Glover (Kyle), Zariah Alexander, Brittani Alexander, Devante Alexander, Jabari-Bakari Rogers II, great grandchildren; Bronya Jones, Jordan Alexander Jr, Kamari Williams, Brielle Alexander, siblings; Kitty Arnold, June Molette, and a plethora of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Gloria will certainly be missed by all who knew her.
