On January 8, 1944, Mrs. Gloria Dean Lilly-Spencer was born in Tenaha Texas, to the proud parentage of Romie and Gladys Lilly Spencer. She grew up in Longview, Texas, attended and graduated from Longview Public School District. In Longview; she met the father of her children, Charles Bernard Spencer and together six beautiful children were born.
Mrs. Gloria Spencer was employed by the Rochester Gauge Company and retired after 10 faithful years of service with the company. She was a loving devoted mother and grandmother. She was also a faithful member of Greater Memorial Missionary Baptist Church.
On the morning of August 19, 2019, the angle of death entered her room and she slipped away and crossed the frontier that divides time and eternity. Gloria then humbly embarked on her journey, to her eternal with the Lord, where pain and suffering where pain and suffering is no more and God Himself wipes away all tears from weeping eyes.
Gloria was preceded in death by both of her Parents, a Brother; Romie Lilly, Jr, a Sister; Bernice Harper, a Son; Paul Spencer and Grandson; Gregg Lynn Wideman, Jr. She now leaves to cherish precious and fond memories, her long time Spouse; George Phillips Sr., Sons; Semi Spencer and George Phillips, Jr., Daughters Shenita Wideman, Rashundra James (Patrick), Precious Spencer and Reeder Spencer all of Dallas, TX, Grandchildren; Candice, Tatavala, Lanesha, Dominique, Michael, Kendall, Kendrick, James, Timothy, Fredrick, Charles, Paul Jr. and Edgar Reginald, Derrick. She also leaves to cherish precious memories, 40 Great Grandchildren, a Niece; Yolanda, Nephews; Damion and Romie III, a plethora of other relatives and friends. Please keep the family lifted in prayer.
