It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Ira Canady, III, age 57, of Cameron (Milam County), Texas, Services for Mr. Canady are posted.
Ira "Chucky" Canady III (IC3) was born on December 19, 1966, in Cameron, Texas, and passed away on October 8, 2024, at his home in Cameron. He was the proud son of Ira Canady Jr. and Ellen Lucinda Johnson-Canady.
A devoted lifelong member of Cameron Grove Baptist Church, Ira completed his formal education in the Cameron Public Schools. He played football for the Fighting Yoe varsity team, contributing to their district championship and semi-final appearances from 1983 to 1985. Ira graduated in 1985 and subsequently pursued training as an auto mechanic technician.
Ira took great pride in modeling cars and trucks and had a passion for high-powered speed vehicles. He often said, "A fast car must look good and sound good. If it is not fast, I will make it fast."
Ira was preceded in death by his father, Ira Canady Jr. He is survived by his mother, Ellen Lucinda Canady of Cameron, Texas; his son, Ira Canady IV of Houston, Texas; his daughters, Ivy Canady and Devin Rangel of Cameron; his grandson, Ira Canady V of Houston; his brother, Merion Canady of Temple; his sisters, Ruth Lenora Canady and Margaret Canady-Spells of Cameron; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other family members, and friends who cherish his memory.
