Mr. James Michael Session; affectionately known by family and friends as "Holy Ghost,” was born July 15, 1950 in Dallas, TX to the loving parentage of the late Reagan and Gladys Session. In his early years, James Michael graduated from Franklin D. Roosevelt High School class of 1968, and soon after attended Texas College in Tyler TX.
1971 was a good year for James Michael, because he married Sue Hall and accepted employment at Trailways Bus Tours. After leaving Trailways, James Michael worked as the Head Diesel Mechanic for several black owned busing companies around the city of Dallas, which allowed him to travel the county.
He earned a reputation as being one of the best diesel mechanics in Dallas. In 2011, James Michael joined Out Cry in the Barrio where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Upon completing his missionary tour with the Out Cry organization in San Antonio, James Michael returned home to Dallas TX, with the famous nickname the “The Holy Ghost." James was a dedicated father and Grandfather. James Michael’s tough love paid off in successfully raising his four sons; Michael, Jermaine, Darrin and Donavan.
James Michael was one of 20 siblings. Preceding him in death were his brothers; J.W. Chandler, Cleveland Chandler, Roy Session, Nelson Session, Reagan Session Jr, Ray Edwards Session, and Victor Session, Sisters; Theresa Session and Ellouise Session, and grandson, Jordan Session.
James Michael leaves to cherish fond and precious memories four wonderful sons; Michael, Jermaine, Darrin and Donavan Session, five grand kids; Mikaela, Daylan, Daela, Isiah, Evelyn and Daveon. Brother and Sisters who will keep him in memory are; O.C Chandler, R.A Session, Cloyce Session, Carl Session, Tyran Session, Michael Session, Brenda Session, Lue Calhoun, Fay Robinson, and Uniqua Session, along with a plethora of other relatives and lifelong friends. All who knew him will surely miss James.
