LaJuan Nance Wright, also known as Mother Wright or Ladybug, was born on July 11, 1936 to the parentage of the late Raymond and Irene Nance of Dallas Texas. She received her formal education from the Dallas Independence School District, a graduate of Lincoln High School and Alumni of Lincoln Tiger Cheerleaders.
On October 30, 1954, she united in holy matrimony to Billy Ray Wright of Henderson Texas and to this union were four children two boys and two girls.
LaJuan worked for 24 years before she retired from Rockwell International as an Electric Technician. She accepted Christ at an early age. LaJuan was a faithful member of Bonnie view Christian Church for many years. She and her family later moved to Garland Texas in 1973 and she became an active member of Trinity Temple, Gospel Tabernacle, True Believers (where she became Mother Wright), and finally New Creation Church under the Leadership of Apostle TJ Reese and Pastor Georgia Reese.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Billy Ray Wright of 29 years; one son, Tommy Wright Booker; two grandsons, Arthur Maurice Wright and Dominique Jamal “DJ” Wright; one great-grandson, Malachi Elijah Wright; her parents and ten siblings.
LaJuan is survived by her son; Kenneth Maurice Wright, Sr. (Sharon) of Mesquite Texas; two daughters; DiAnn Wright Fuller (Charles, Sr.) of Mesquite Texas and Deborah Wright Glover of Dallas, Texas, one sister; Maxine Nance Allen (Melvin) of Dallas Texas, and one sister/cousin JoAnn Reed (Chest) of Arcadia Oklahoma, twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Mother LaJuan was very inspirational in leading souls to Christ and leaving a legacy of love to all that she loved and knew.
