Luther Hannon Obituary

It is with deep regret and utmost sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Luther Ray Hannon, age 66 of Dallas,

Luther Ray Hannon was born to the proud parentage of Luther Hannon and Famic Collins on February 25, 1955 in Phoenix, Arizona. He quietly slipped away and departed this life on Saturday morning, October 23, 2021 at Whiterock City Hospital of Dallas, Texas. He resided in Garland, TX for IVER 20 years of his life, but recently moved to Dallas.  At an early age Luther accepted Christ and in 1966 he was baptized and joined Sims Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He attended Garland Public Schools and graduated from Garland High School. Oh how he was proud to earn and receive his high school diploma. Luther was employed over 20 years as a warehouseman at Sears and Roebuck Company.

He was preceded in death by his father; Luther Hannon, Sr., a loving grandmother; Odessa Dansby, a loving aunt; Myrlene Means, two uncles; Henry Collins and Clarence Collins, and grandson; Delas Clark.

Luther leaves cherish  precious memories, his daughter; Juanita Hannon-Branch (Jeremy) of Dallas, his mother; Fannie Collins of Dallas, three brothers; Charles Ray Hannon, Charles Ray Hannon both of Dallas, and Rickey Gene Hollis of Huntsville, TX, three sisters; Carolyn Gardens of Mesquite, Betty Hannon and Alice Hannon both of Garland, two step-daughters; Debra Hannon and Ericka Hannon both of Garland, and a plethora of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Although Luther has passed on to his new Heavenly home, he will truly be missed by all who knew him.
