It is with our deepest and sincerest condolences that we announce the passing of Mrs. Mattie Moore-English, age 74 a resident of Dallas, Texas. Mrs. English was born on April 4, 1946, in Texarkana, Texas to the proud parentage of Ms. Bobbie Nailon.
Mattie attended Dunbar High School in Texarkana, Texas and graduated in the class of 1964. After high school, she then pursued studies in a college of cosmetology. After graduating from cosmetology school, she married Mr. Kenneth English. After uniting in holy matrimony with Kenneth, she applied and obtained employment with Texas Instruments (TI), as a material operator and remained gainfully employed with TI, until retirement .
Mrs. English was preceded in death by her mother; Bobbie Nailon, her husband; Kenneth English, and her special friend; Henry McGee affectionately called “Doonie” by the family.
She leaves to cherish fond and precious memories, her three beautiful children; Kennethia Moore, Senetta English and Kenneth English, Jr., four grandchildren; Darrin Reed, Cameron Moore (Shanisha),Tomorrow English, and Perrion English, five great-grandchildren; Khalia Moore, Harmony Reed, Dakyreon Winston, Kimiko Moore, and Ava Marie Warren, a very special friend; Debra Lewis, along with a plethora of other relatives and friends. On the day of funeral, Mrs. English will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the start of the service. Interment at Carver Memorial Cemetery in Farris, Texas will immediately follow services.
