Maxine Allen Obituary

On behalf of the Owner, Management and Staff of Bethesda Memorial Funeral Directors,  it is with deep regret and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mrs. Maxine Nance Allen, age 79 of Dallas, Texas. Services for Mrs. Allen are posted. Please keep the Allen family lifted in prayer.

On April 8, 1943, Maxine Olevia Nance was born in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Raymond and Irene Nance.  

Maxine accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.  She received her formal education in the Dallas Independent School District and was graduate of James Madison High School, Class of 1961.  Later, she would further her education graduation by attending El Centro College.

In 1963, she married Charles Edward Roquemore, Sr and this union produced three sons: Keith, Charles Jr and Kelvin Roquemore.  A devoted mother, she enjoyed raising her three sons and in them instilled her Christian values.  

Maxine was loyal believer and active in the church throughout her life.  She married Paul Reed Sims in 1987.  Their union lasted until his passing in 2014.  

In 2017 she met and married Fallis “Melvin” Allen and he brought her tremendous joy in the twilight of her life until her passing on July 17, 2022.

Maxine was preceded in death by her loving parents; Raymond and Irene, by eleven siblings; James, Raymond Jr., Otis, Bobby, Leo, Dual, Jimmy, Paul, Billy, LaJuan and Juanita), first husband, Charles Edward Roquemore, Sr., and her second husband; Paul Reed Sims, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her love and precious memories, her devoted husband of five years; Fallis Melvin Allen; three sons; Keith Bernard Roquemore of Dallas, Charles Edward Roquemore Jr. (Lisa) of Phoenix, AZ, and Kelvin Lernard Roquemore of Addison, TX, two granddaughters; Ashley Watts (Marquin) of Phoenix, AZ, and Alexandria Roquemore of Dallas, a Step-daughter; Sharon Perrotta of Dallas and a host of other nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and a plethora of friends.
