The memorial Service for Mrs Nora Daniels-Young is scheduled for Saturday, March 25 , 2017, 12:00 O’clock Noon at the Hutchins Church of Christ (200 W Palestine Road - Hutchins, TX 75141), with Bro. Isaac Colyer serving as the Officiant and eulogist. The Memorial Program was designed and prepared by Bethesda Memorial Funeral Directors of DeSoto, Texas.
OBITUARY
On Thursday, March 16, 2017, Mrs. Nora Daniels-Young, age 56 of Dallas, TX, quietly slipped away to be with the Lord. She was born on
July 7, 1960 to the parentage of Vetta Jones-Johnson and Sylvester Johnson, Sr. Nora received her formal education at Robert E. Lee High School (Midland, TX) and Prairie View A&M University (Prairie View, TX). Upon leaving Prairie View, Nora was employed many years in the Technology Industry. Nora was a devout and faithful Christian and member of the church of Christ (coC). She loved the Lord and was a very active and faithful member in the church and taught her children bible scripture and to love the Lord. During her life time she was a member of the following congregations; Cherry Valley coC, Woodin Blvd. coC, East Prairie St. CoC and lastly Hutchins coC. She remained faithful in attendance, until health issues prevented her from attending services on a regular and consistent basis. During early childhood, Nora developed a devout love and passion for the arts and architecture. She often dreamed of visiting distant lands and cultures, in order to enjoy and experience the vastness of the world. She enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends. She also had a fond passion for animals and truly enjoyed spending time outdoors and enjoying nature.
She was preceded in death by her Father; Sylvester Johnson, Sr. and 18 of 21 uncles and aunts. Nora leaves to cherish fond memories, three Children; Son, Royce Daniels (Nicole) of Denton, Daughters; Jennifer Daniels of Waxahachie and Sarina Daniels of Dallas; Mother; Vetta Jones-Johnson of Lancaster, Siblings; Annie Newton (John) of Cedar Hill and Sylvester Johnson, Jr. of San Jose, CA, three Uncles; Richard Jones (Barbara) of Grand Prairie, Joseph Jones (Brenda), of Duncanville and Robert (Arletha) of Oklahoma. Nora also leaves behind a plethora of loving cousins other relatives, fellow Christian and friends. Her smile, love, compassion, and heart will truly be missed by all who knew her. Because of her love of mankind, Nora requested that her body be donated to science and later cremated, in hopes that in the near future researchers discover a cure for; in particular, Lupus. Our family wishes to thank all of you who out of sincere love was there with her, during the last days of her illness.
