Obituary
Mr. Paul Evans Expose departed this life on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at the Myrtles Nursing home. He was born March 27, 1934 in Sumrall, MS to the late Noah Henry Expose and Etta Mae Dukes Expose. He was 9 of 13 siblings, ten of whom preceded him in death. (Loretta E. Watson, Myrtis E. Hawkins, Celestine Expose, Noah H. Expose, Jr., Clifford Expose, Bufford Expose, Daniel “Dan” Expose, Luther C. Expose, Earldene Expose, and Darlene Expose Diggs). He grew up a member of First Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. He was educated at La Marion High School in the First Hopewell community. He was very proud of his upbringing and growing up on Papa’s farm.
He enjoyed playing baseball and basketball growing up. He was taught brick masonry by his father. He continued his studies at Mississippi Valley State University where he studied brick masonry. He served in the U.S. Army from December 8, 1953 to December 7, 1955 in Fort Ord, California, Fort Knox, Kentucky and Fort Hood, Texas.
He met his loving wife of 56 years, Miss Dessie Mae Thigpen and they united in Holy Matrimony on May 30, 1959.
Paul leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife; eight children: Patricia “Trish” Willis(CW), Anthony Glen Oatis, Marian Anita Lee (Jerry), Marlon Darryl Expose (Christine), Jacqueline Faye Jones (Ian), Noah Henry Expose (Nicole), Jennifer Celestine Expose-Francisco and Randall Cedric Expose (Tammy); 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. One grandson, Marlon D Expose, Jr. preceded him in death. Two sisters Carzella Louie and Charlene Expose along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
