Our History

Bethesda Memorial Funeral Directors & Crematory Services, LLC was founded by Pat Willis & C. W. Burruss in DeSoto, TX. Prior to 2014, our former owners were located in Mexia, Texas DBA Bethesda Memorial Funeral Home, which no longer exists. The name Bethesda can be found in the Bible (St. John 6:4). Bethesda means House or Place of Mercy. We are indeed a true House of Mercy to the families we serve. Our prices are one of the lowest in the area, while our services to families are excellent and exceed expectations.

In 2014, after carefully consideration our new owner and Funeral Director relocated our funeral service to DeSoto, TX. Our business continues as an independent family owned and operated by licensed funeral directors along with a plethora of other funeral professionals. Our funeral directors have over 30 years of funeral directing or in executive business leadership. Our mission is to provide dignified and dependable services to bereaved families, with utmost integrity at a fraction of what other area funeral providers charge. Our caring and experienced professionals are here to support you through your difficult time of losing a loved one. We offer a range of personalized services to suit your family’s wishes and requirements.
